The SMB partners of SAP were to be encouraged through play to update their profile within the SMB portal. For this purpose a mini-game was developed in which a player has to »golf« a ball into its target through an urban course. The little game was established on different terminals as well as online on the SAP intranet during the SAP summit 2004 in Budapest.
A weird fun game needs an equally weird style: vectorised and coloured hand drawings inspired by isometry were animated and combined with funny sounds.
With the drive’s direction the user chooses one of different fixed courses of the ball at the beginning. Each course of the one-drive game provides entertainment with different collisions and animations. Game mechanics with physical ball characteristics and several drives was not necessary for the planned short duration of the game.
