Project Description

The multipart television series »Die Sternstunden der Deutschen« (Magic Moments of the Germans) commemorates the most touching moments in German history.

What are the most important, most beautiful, most exciting instances in time that have shaped the German people until today? In order to find answers to these questions German public television »ZDF« has launched an opinion poll.

The result was a selection of 100 historical events, that are presented in short video clips as part of a web special additionally to the television series.

There are three different ways of navigating through the selected historical events: with an »overview« perspective using an interactive map of Germany, »chronologically« within an interactive band of time, and »playfully« through
a chronology quiz with varying levels of difficulty.
